18.05.07 - The Bluebells got back to winning ways
in the league on Monday evening with a superb 3-2 away win at Hill o
Beath. Lochee went in at the break a goal up through Calum Hardie
then trailled early in the second half from 2 quick Beath goals
just after the break. But two great goals in the last 15 minutes
courtesy of Kenny MacMillan and the winning strike from Craig Robertson
sealed the victory and another valuable 3 points gained.
16.05.07 - Lochee
United went down by 4 goals to 3 in a thrilling
league match on Saturday away to Whitburn. The Bluebells found
themselves 4 down after 46 minutes but managed to rally and nearly
snatched an unlikely draw by pulling 3 goals back courtesy of Calum
Hardie and a double from Phil Hagen but it wasn't enough to snatch a
well deserved point.
10.05.07 - It was all smiles at Thomson Park last
night AGAIN as The Bluebells chalked up 3 wins of the season over
rivals Tayport. The match finished 2-1 which gave Lochee United their
3rd consecutive league win on the trot. Gary Middleton put Lochee ahead
in 3 minutes after a neat finish from 6 yards. Both teams were reduced
to 10 men when Greame Hay and Chris Webster both saw red after only 10
minutes. Just before half time Barry McNaughton leveled the match with
a good finish to put the teams in all square at half time. But just
after the restart Middleton proved to be the matchwinner with a calm
finish from 12 yards after a cross from Phil Hagen.
10.05.07 - Lochee United are through to the
Quarter Finals of the East of Scotland Cup after a single goal victory
over Kirkcaldy YM at Denfield Park on Monday night. Paul Blackwood
scored the only goal of the game after 5 minutes which was enough to
see the Bluebells head into the last 8. YM finished the game with only
9 men after two players were shown red.
06.05.07 - The Bluebells made it 6 points out of
6 in the Superleague on Saturday after a well deserved 2-1 victory over
Bathgate at Creamery Park. Craig Robertson continued his hot
goalscoring streak when he opened the scoring after only 4 minutes when
he calmly slotted home from a Gary Middleton cutback. He grabbed his
second just after the break when he latched on to a through ball and a
good finish put Lochee in the driving seat. Bathgate pulled a goal back
with 20 minutes remaining from a disputed penalty which was converted
by Nicholson.The Bluebells hung on after that and took all 3 points
back to Thomson Park.
04.05.07 - Lochee United eased passed Carnoustie
in the Superleague 3-1 last night thanks to a deadly double from man of
the match Craig Robertson. His 2 left foot volleys in each half and a
header from Kenny MacMillan gave the Bluebells their first league win
since the last time they defeated Carnoustie back in March.
03.05.07 - The Bluebells are through to the last
16 of the East of Scotland Cup after a 5-1 victory over East Craigie.
Goals from John Bruce, Gary Middleton 2, Lukas Krobot and Kenny
MacMillan set up a last 16 tie with Kirkcaldy YM on Monday evening.
01.05.07 - Lochee United lifted the DJ Laing
League Cup on Friday evening with a convincing 3-1 victory over local
rivals Tayport at Laing Park Carnoustie. The Bluebells were 2-0 up
before half time through a deflected Craig Robertson cross and a wonder
strike from all of 25 yards from man of the match Steven Leahy.Tayport
pulled one back 20 minutes after the break from a Ronnie Kenneth header
but Gary Middleton made sure the Cup headed to Thomson Park with the
goal of the game. "Smokie" played a double one two on the edge of the
box with Robertson and from just inside the box he calmly chipped the
ball over Fitzpatrick to make it 3-1.
